In my year at the NIAS, I worked, along with Rob Grootendorst, on a project entitled ‘Argumentation, Communication and Fallacies’. this has resulted in a book-length manuscript in which a pragma-dialectical approach to fallacies is advocated and explained. A second project, together with Jackson and Jacobs, resulted in a book-length manuscript entitled Reconstructing Argumentative Discourse. At the same time we worked with Walton on the project Relevance in Argumentative Discourse and with Walton and Woods on an ‘Encyclopaedia of Fallacies’.
