Sebnem Yardimci Receives Young Scientists Award

Dr. Sebnem Yardimci Geyikci, NIAS Fellow 2019/20, received the Young Scientists Award in Political Science given by the Science Academy in Turkey.

It is the most prestigious science academy in Turkey thanks to their independence from the government. The Science Academy was established on November 25, 2011 in Istanbul as an independent non-governmental organization to promote, practice and uphold the principles of scientific merit, freedom and integrity. Bilim Akademisi is a member of ALLEA (All European Academies) and a member organization of ISC (International Science Council).

About

Şebnem Yardımcı-Geyikçi works as Associate Professor of Politics at Hacettepe University. At NIAS, she carried out a research project on protest movements and electoral politics: Southern Europe in comparative perspective.
