New Publication: A Bit of NIAS History

The publication "From Rijksdorp Estate to NIAS Residence. A Bit of NIAS History", presented at the annual NIAS Fellows Association Day 2016, is now available online.

About the Publication

The publication entitled, From Rijksdorp Estate to NIAS Residence. A Bit of NIAS History, gives a brief account of the history of the buildings and surrounding area where the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities and Social Sciences is currently located. It was written by historian Jos Hooghuis, who worked at the institute for more than thirty-five years and it originates from short presentations that he gave at the occasion of the opening of a research year or a semester.
