The Willem F. Duisenberg Foundation fosters excellence in applied policy research in the Netherlands.
The Willem F. Duisenberg Fellowship Foundation was set up in 2007 in honour of Willem F. Duisenberg and builds on the Jelle Zijstra Fellowship programme. The Foundation is sponsored by De Nederlandsche Bank, the Dutch Ministry of Finance and several major Dutch financial institutions: the ING Group, Rabobank Nederland, ABN-AMRO and AEGON.
Governance
The Willem F. Duisenberg Fellowship (WFDF) Foundation Board consists of:
- Chair: Prof. Victor Halberstadt
- Treasurer: Prof. dr. Jan Willem Duyvendak (Director NIAS)
The WFDF Advisory Board consists of:
- One representative from each of the sponsoring institutions
- Four experts from the field of economics (non-voting)
Policy
The Foundation facilitates invitational fellowships for researchers from the Netherlands or abroad who have an outstanding record in the field of applied monetary economics, macro-economics or public finance.
