Professor Dr. Karla Pollmann, Individual Fellow 2003/4, Theme Group Leader 2008/9, currently Executive Dean of Arts and Professor of Classics and Theology at the University of Bristol, UK, was in 2020 awarded a Humboldt Research Prize by the Alexander-von-Humboldt Foundation, in recognition of a lifetime achievement of internationally leading research.
Professor Pollmann intends to use the prize money to advance the improved understanding of the continuing importance of the Arts and Humanities.
