The Grotian Concept of Rights

Year Group 2004/05

The Theme Group “De Iure praedae and the Grotian concept of rights” was able to prepare an electronic version of Ch.I–VII of De iure praedae in which the different versions of the text are made visible.

A successful conference on De iure praedae was organized with participants from all over the world. The proceedings will be published in 2006. Binding promises were made for further research and completion of the electronic version of De iure praedae in HTLM. On an individual level all participants came to a wide variety of results and the original aim of the Theme Group – the revival of studies on Grotius – has largely been achieved.
