De Nederlandse Boekengids or The Dutch Review of Books is the fully independent Dutch equivalent of the New York and London Reviews.

De Nederlandse Boekengids | The Dutch Review of Books, founded in 2015, offers reviews (1,250 words and upwards) and review essays (up to 3,750 words and more) that are at the crossroads of academic scholarship, the Arts and wider culture.

It works to give it’s readership a wide panorama through the lens of a specific discipline or interest. It’s authors (some 350) are established and well-respected professional literary authors and scholars, as well as brilliant new literary and academic talent.

The review publishes several contributions per week online, with the print edition following a bi-monthly rhythm and has a readership of around a quarter million per year through individual subscriptions and through digital distribution agreements with a dozen Dutch and Belgian universities.

NIAS has long-standing advertisement and editorial cooperations with the Review and its fellows and activities figure prominently among its publications.
