The L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science strives to recognize and support women in science.
L’Oréal and UNESCO sponsor international and national initiatives For Women in Science (FWiS). The Fellowship at NIAS is a Dutch initiative within the framework of the international L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science programme, which was founded in 1998 in the firm belief that the world needs science and science needs women. Each year, the For Women in Science Programme highlights scientific excellence and encourages talent through the For Women in Science Awards, international fellowships, and national fellowships.
