Variability in Language Environment at Home and Children’s Language Skills

NIAS Seminar

Psychologist Tiia Tulviste will be discussing part of her project, focusing on children’s language performance.

Tiia Tulviste will be discussing the article: “Informal language stimulation rather than corrective feedback matters in Estonian children’s language performance”, in which she argues that informal language stimulation is positively related to children’s expressive vocabulary and language comprehension, whereas corrective feedback is negatively linked to children’s language comprehension and production.
