Vi is part of the Archive team at NIAS, where they are busy documenting and archiving outputs of NIAS fellows in the past 50 years.

Vi studied Linguistics and Communication Sciences, where they did research on the linguistic agency and self-determination of trans and non-binary people. Outside of NIAS, they are active in several community initiatives focusing on the well-being and social belonging of LGBTQ+ people.

Vi is a language nerd (not a polyglot though). They usually spend their free time watching YouTube videos or Tiktoks about languages and linguistic phenomena. They are learning Dutch and Arabic, alongside being a Vietnamese tutor.
