About Robert

Robert is the Partnership Officer at NIAS and responsible for managing and cultivating the institute’s ongoing partnerships.

As part of the selection team, he coordinates the selection processes of the fellowships that NIAS offers in cooperation with its partners from beginning to end.

Beyond securing the stability and longevity of the institute’s partner network and supported fellowships, he hopes to help further develop the NIAS selection procedure in a way that sees NIAS’ core values embedded across all selection processes while ensuring their equitability

Robert studied German language and culture as well as English language and culture at Utrecht University.

Before coming to NIAS, he worked as a translator and project manager giving him plenty of experience in navigating between multiple deadlines and various stakeholders.

When not at work, Robert spends his time with his wife and two kids. He also enjoys painting, cooking and unwinding with a good movie when time allows.
