Open Call for Fellowship on Social Security and Labour Markets

NIAS and the Instituut Gak invite scholars with expertise in the field of social security and labour market policy to apply for a 5-month fellowship in 2022/23.

During the Instituut Gak Fellowship researchers can focus without interruption on their research and the in-depth exploration of their topic in the fields of social security or labour market policy. The fellow can concentrate on producing new scientific knowledge or work on solutions to practical issues. The inspiring environment at NIAS offers researchers an opportunity to work within an interdisciplinary community of scholars, writers and journalists.

Instituut Gak is a foundation that aims to improve the quality of social security and labour-market policy in the Netherlands by funding projects and scientific research. The Instituut Gak supports numerous research projects and has established endowed chairs at universities and universities of applied sciences in the Netherlands.

The Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study is an intellectual haven for international researchers, writers, journalists and artists to pursue their research or projects, to work in an interdisciplinary environment and to share their knowledge with society. It offers a diverse year-group of about 50 NIAS Fellows the opportunity to devote themselves to an independent research project. NIAS is the oldest Institute for Advanced Study in Europe whose founding mission is to foster curiosity-driven research. It is an institute of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) and is located in Amsterdam.
