NIAS invites nominations for the Willem F. Duisenberg Fellowship. This residential fellowship is awarded to scholars who have an outstanding record in the field of applied monetary economics, applied macroeconomics or public finance. He/she will carry out his/her research project as part of the NIAS academic community, give one public lecture and will be encouraged to meet with Dutch academics, policy makers and bankers to debate current issues.
The Willem F. Duisenberg Fellowship is for nominated researchers from abroad who have an outstanding record in the field of applied monetary economics, macro economics or public finance. The Fellows deliver a special lecture on their research topic to a wider audience.
Department Chairs or Deans can nominate candidates. The nomination should be submitted electronically by the 1 August 2011 to Nomination@nias.knaw.nl. Nominations will be reviewed by the Advisory Board, the Chair of the Willem F. Duisenberg Board and the Rector of NIAS to select the winning candidate. Applicants will be notified before 15 October 2011.
