Call: Distinguished Lorentz Fellow 2018/2019

The NIAS-Lorentz Program is looking for an outstanding researcher who wants to do cutting-edge research that bridges the humanities and/or social sciences with the natural sciences and/or technology. Deadline: 15 October 2017. 

Who may nominate

The Distinguished Lorentz Fellow (DLF) may be nominated by Rectors and deans of Dutch universities, members of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW), chairs of the Young Academy (DJA) and the Dutch Network of Women Professors (LNVH), directors of KNAW, NWO and TNO institutes and directors of museums or industrial organizations with a research agenda.

What we offer

• € 10,000 personal prize
• 5 to 10 month fellowship at NIAS, including on-campus study, research facilities and residential accommodation
• 1-week workshop at the Lorentz Center, including full organizational support and € 20,000 budget for travel and hotel reimbursements

• embedded in the Dutch scientific community
