Alumnus Cees Fasseur passes away

It is with great sadness that we relay the news that Professor Cees Fasseur passed away on Sunday, 13 March 2016. He died unexpectedly at the age of 77. Cees Fasseur was both lawyer and historian, known for his books on the Dutch Royal family. 

Cees Fasseur was a fellow at NIAS in 1988/89, 1996/97, 1999/2000 and 2007/08 (Guest of the Rector), where he worked on his biography of Queen Wilhelmina, and on the book about the marriage of Juliana and Bernard.
