William Twining, born in Kampala, Uganda, in 1934. LL.D. from the University of Victoria, Canada. Professor of Jurisprudence at University College London.

Fellow (1 September 1994 – 30 June 1995)

I devoted approximately half of my time to the theme group on “Forensic Expertise and the Law of Evidence in Europe”. In addition to regular meetings and a few visits to institutions, we concentrated on learning about the Dutch Criminal Justice System, with particular reference to the contributions of and problems relating to non-legal experts.

I devoted the other half of my time to continuing my work on law as an institutionalised discipline.
