Veljko Rus, born in Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 1929. Ph.D. from the University of Ljubljana. Professor of Sociology at the University of Ljubljana.

During my stay at NIAS I devoted myself to two main projects: 1) the first was an editorial task related to Yearbook of Organizational Democracy, Vol. 2, entitled Ownership and Participation; 2) the second project was focused on writing a book with the tentative title Social Policy Between East and West.
