THE FORMATION OF THE HABSBURG MONARCHY. COMMUNITIES, RELIGION AND WAR: 1273-1648
I made significant progress on my research project while at NIAS, and completed the drafts of three chapters in my forthcoming book, “The Formation of the Habsburg Monarchy”. I also expanded a short conference paper into a 72-page article, entitled “Constructing Confessional Political Identities: The Public Political Discourse in Bohemia and Austria before the Thirty Years’ War.” It was accepted for publication by Periodicum: Berichte und Beitraege des Geisteswissenschaftlichen Zentrums Geschichte und Kultur Ostmitteleuropas (University of Leipzig).
I expanded an additional conference paper (“Confessionalizing Patronage at the Early Modern Habsburg Court”), which will be published in a forthcoming volume of Forschungen zur Geschichte und Kultur des oestlichen Mitteleuropa.
