During my stay at NIAS I finished my article on the concept of ‘freedom’ in Dutch historiography in the 17th and 18th centuries for the theme group “The History of Dutch Concepts” as planned. I also prepared a draft of the article on ‘fatherland’ in historiography of about the same period. A first approach was made in researching the theoretical contemplations of their work by Amsterdam professors of history at the Athenaeum Illustre in that city.
