During my stay at NIAS, I was able to complete writing up my book. The main focus is an in-depth analysis of the textile and raw silk trade and industries in Bengal before the province was conquered by the British in 1757 as also to quantify and compare the volume of the British and Dutch exports from Bengal to Europe during the first half of the eighteenth century.
