Philosopher Mehrdad Alipour was interviewed by the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO), discussing his research on homosexuality in Islam, the reasons for having to flee his home country, and the relevance of his academic work.

About Mehrad Alipour

Mehrdad Alipour holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Qom, Iran. As a Scholar-at-Risk Fellow, a fellowship co-sponsored with the UAF Foundation, he works on a philosophical- hermeneutical analysis of Islamic sources and Muslim Queer theology: Negotiating Same-Sex Desire and Act in Islam.
