Mike Clover, born in Denver, Colorado, USA, in 1940. Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. Professor of History and Classics at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

During my five-month stay at the NIAS, I completed an advanced draft of a book, whose working title is Roman Politics and the Vandals, A.D. 440 – 480. It focuses on the last generation in which a Roman imperial government functioned in Italy, and on the relations between the Roman government and the client state of the Vandals in North Africa.
