Daryl Feil, born in San José, California, USA, in 1948. Ph.D. from the Australian National University, Canberra. Associate Professor of Social Anthropology at Sydney University.

Fellow (1 September 1992 – 30 June 1993)

In addition to giving seminars in The Netherlands, Italy, and France, my time at NIAS was devoted to completing work on three projects. Most importantly, I worked on my book on Venice, tentatively entitled Venice: the Present in the Past, which is now nearing completion. I also worked on various Melanesian and Papua New Guinea topics.
