During my year at NIAS I concentrated on research in the area of 16th and 17th century emblem literature. The bulk of my time was devoted to completing a book-length manuscript entitled Emblematice Scribere. Historical and Systematic Studies in the Emblem. It consists of two parts entitled ‘Problems of Terminology and Definition’ and ‘Problems of Genre and Signification’.
