Jan Zielonka, born in Czarnowasy, Poland, in 1955. Ph.D. from the University of Warsaw. Associate Professor of International Relations at Leiden University.

My work during this semester has been devoted to two books that have been prepared within the NIAS research project: “Approaching Eastern Europe”. I co-edited and contributed to Restructuring Eastern Europe. Towards a New European Order with Ronald J. Hill and Human Rights and Security: Europe on the Eve of a New Era with Vojtech Mastny.
