Thomas Pettigrew, born in Richmond, Virginia, USA, in 1931. Ph.D. from Harvard University, Cambridge. Professor of Social Psychology at the University of California, Santa Cruz.

My principal accomplishment was the near-completion of a book, Modern Racism: American Black-White Relations since the 1960’s. Other activities revolved around the writing of this tome on the present racial scene in the United States.
