Emanuel Tov, born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, in 1944. Ph.D. from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Professor of Biblical studies at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

The greater part of my work and energy was spent on the writing and rewriting of my book An Introduction to the Textual Criticism of the Hebrew Bible. I also started a further study which was an analysis of one of the unpublished Dead Sea scrolls, named 4Q Pentateuch Paraphrase.
