I was concerned with the category of ‘Adjective’ in the world’s languages. The report of this research is entitled A Discourse Approach to the Cross-Linguistic Category ‘Adjective’. My other major research goal was to finish writing a book on the grammar of Wappo, the California Indian Language on which I have been working for ten years.
