Thomassen, A.J.W.M.

Arnold Thomassen, born in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, in 1935. Ph.D. from Radboud University Nijmegen. Professor of Experimental Psychology at Radboud University Nijmegen.

Fellow (1 September 1989 – 30 June 1990)

My interest is the interaction of cognitive and motor systems in the performance of complex movements. During the NIAS year I made progress with respect to two themes. The first was the relationship between abstract ‘rules’ and reaction times and kinematics of the movements. The second theme was concerned with anticipation of economy in graphic movement sequences.
