During my stay at NIAS I was a member and co-organizer of the NIAS Research Theme Group on Comparing Labour Market Contracts and Institutions and as such, I studied the different institutional arrangements that exist in various OECD countries to take care of persons whose productivity on the labour market (and hence his or her labour income) is lower that what is deemed socially acceptable (below the poverty line or below a legal minimum wage level).
