Thee, K.W.

Thee Kian Wie, born in Jakarta, Indonesia, in 1935. Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Senior Research Associate at the Centre for Economic and Development Studies, Indonesian Institute of Sciences (PEP – LIPI), Jakarta.

Fellow (1 September 1994 – 30 June 1995)

My major purpose to work at NIAS was to work on a comprehensive study on foreign direct investment in Indonesia since its independence up to the present, and second, to start working on the first draft of a proposed book on Indonesia’s modern economic history, 1830 – 1990, in co operation with Dr. J.Th. Lindblad and Dr. Vincent Houben, my two co-Fellows.
