Kees ‘t Hart, born in The Hague, the Netherlands, in 1944. M.A from the University of Amsterdam. Author of several novels such as De Ziekte van Bewondering and Ter Navolging and writer of reviews and articles for the Dutch daily newspapers De Volkskrant and Vrij Nederland.
Writer-in-Residence (1 February 2005 – 30 June 2005)
During my stay at the NIAS I worked on a new novel about the inner struggle between emotions aand reason. It is a novel about the longing for intimicy and the incapacity to experience a higher form of contact.
