A PHYSICALIST ACCOUNT OF MATHEMATICAL TRUTH

As the main component of my NIAS project, I wrote some 150 pages of a monograph on “A Physicalist account of Mathematical Truth”. Making use of the excellent library facilities in the NIAS, I read and collected materials for further research. I wrote three papers in which I question the common views about what relativity theory tells us about the geometry of space-time. One has been published in Hungarian (Beszélő, január), another is forthcoming in the Foundations of Physics Letters. The third one has just been submitted for publication. During my stay at the NIAS, I also wrote a concise lecture note on mathematical logics (in Hungarian). I delivered a seminar talk (in Utrecht) and a conference paper (Pittsburgh Center for Philosophy of Science Fellows’ Conference, Krakow).
