Piet van Sterkenburg, born in Breda, the Netherlands, in 1942. Ph.D. from Radboud University Nijmegen. Director of the Dutch Lexicological Institute, Leiden.
Fellow (1 September 1981 – 31 July 1982)
I worked with G.P. Gerritson and F. van Oostrom on an edition of the fragments of the yet unpublished Middle Dutch novel about King Arthur, Lantsloot vander Haghedochte. Furthermore, I worked on a compilation of a list of Dutch words based on frequency, experience and coverage which would be useful to those learning Dutch as a second language. Finally, I wrote an introduction on the history of the Dutch dictionary.
