My time at the NIAS was taken up by background research on international migration networks and household dynamics of young migrants: extensive reading on theoretical issues, with an emphasis on migration networks and decision-making processes; as well as a survey and analysis of available statistical data, and a comparison of questionnaires and survey and analytical methodologies.
