The main thrust of my work was directed toward the elaboration of the theory of emotion. In addition I attempted to use these theoretical notions to propose a novel approach to the phenomenon of stress, arguing that stress be seen as an emotional reaction with abnormal intensity or one in which the emotional arousal does not return to baseline as is the case with normal emotions.
