The questions to be answered in my research project are:
What developments have occured in societal positions, value orientations and behavioural patterns of the elderly between 1970 and 1984 according to income, status and power?
In what way can the age stratifaction theory, the relative deprivation theory and the rational choice theory explain the described developments?
How can the described developments in the Netherlands compare with developments in the United States of America, Great Britain and the German Federal Republic?
