Petr Pit’ha, born in Prague, Czech Republic, in 1938. Ph.D. from Charles University, Prague. Professor of the Theory of Culture at Charles University, Prague.
Fellow (1 September 1995 – 30 June 1996)
During my stay at NIAS I prepared the first version of a book about linguistic observations of the Hohenfürter Altarpiece and its interpretation.
I also continued in my present day main occupation and delivered several lectures about education, which were or will be published. I also wrote and published five lesser articles in this field for Czech pedagogical journals.
The academic atmosphere of NIAS bringing together scholars of many disciplines relevant in civic education was most valuable for this part of my work.
