INVESTIGATING THE FOURTH POWER OF DUTCH DEMOCRACY
As a Journalist- in-Residence at NIAS, I profited enormously from the daily interaction with the other members of the year group. The discussions with experts and generalists alike, did not speed up the process of writing the book that I proposed to write at NIAS, but the ideas in, and behind the book, benefitted much from these discussions. They made the content so much more interesting than I could have imagined before going to Wassenaar.
The book will be published in May 2013, with the title “Wij begrijpen elkaar uitstekend; de permanente wurggreep van pers en politiek”, (We understand each other perfectly, the complex relationship of press and politics) 250 pages, publisher Bert Bakker.
