Hans van Oort, born in 1949. Ph.D. from Utrecht University. Professor of Theology at Utrecht University.
Fellow (1 September 1990 – 30 June 1991)
During my year at the NIAS, I worked on topics related to my research project “Augustine’s theology, its sources and influences”. Special attention was given to Manichaean relics in Augustine’s theology on the one hand, and to the influences of Augustine and Augustinianism during the sixteenth and seventeenth century (particularly on Martin Bucer and the Dutch ‘Second Reformation’) on the other hand.
