Hans van Oort, born in 1949. Ph.D. from Utrecht University. Assistant Professor of Ecclesiastical History at Utrecht University.

During my stay at NIAS, I worked on topics of my research project ‘Augustine’s theology, its sources and influences’ in which special attention was given to Manichaean relics in Augustine’s theology on the one hand, and to the influences of Augustine and Augustinianism during the sixteenth and seventeenth century on the other hand.
