Manzini, R.

Rita Manzini, born in Modena, Italy, in 1956. Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge. Assistant Professor of Linguistics at University College London.

Fellow (1 September 1990 – 30 June 1991)

I had two main goals for my time at the NIAS. On the one hand, through my participation to the “Language Acquisition” group, I hoped to be able to do preliminary research into the topic of (functional) heads and the issues of parametrization and learnability they are associated with. This first objective was, I think, successfully achieved. On the other hand, I hoped to be able to finish the last draft of my monograph on Locality, to be published by MIT Press.
