During my four-month stay at NIAS I thoroughly enjoyed the interdisciplinary discussions and the marvelous library service. These two ‘facilities’ provided me with the inspiration and help I needed in preparing my next book “Zeitschichten” which will appear in Spring 2000. The volume deals with the temporal structures of history and its histories.
