I have worked on two major projects this year, both resulting in book-length manuscripts and related shorter papers. The first project, done in collaboration with Frans van Eemeren, Rob Grootendorst, and Scott Jacobs, was planned as a central component of the Fallacies project. The book is entitled Reconstructing Argumentative Discourse. another manuscript, entitled Experimenting on Messages and Related Objects; How to Argue for Claims about Message Effects, developed from examination of a specific problem in communication research methodology.
