Huussen, A.H.

Arend Huussen, born in Leiden, the Netherlands, in 1941. Ph.D. from the University of Amsterdam. Professor of Modern history at the University of Groningen.

Fellow (1 September 1987 – 31 July 1988)

Some time was devoted to the main theme: Criminality and the law in Frisia during the 18th century. The other themes of research have been: the problem of tolerance in the Netherlands, esp. towards the Jews, freedom of the press during the reign of King Willem III, and the Dutch Exchecquer and Audit Office during the ancient régime.
