Jeroen van den Hoven, born in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, in 1957. Ph.D. from Erasmus University Rotterdam. Assistant Professor of Applied Ethics and Philosophy of Informatics at Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Fellow (1 September 1993 – 30 June 1994)

During my stay at the NIAS, I undertook philosophical analysis of the concepts of “privacy”, “autonomy”, “responsibility” and “justice” as relevant for an Information Society. I have come to a deeper understanding of Information Society and its moral perplexities: the relation between ethics and epistemology, between the moral domain and the knowledge domain
