PHOTOJOURNALISM AND THE GLOBALIZATION OF IMAGES
During my stay at NIAS, I was able to write over 60.000 words of a book manuscript on photography, photojournalism and the globalisation of images. About a quarter of this text was intended to feature as well in my forthcoming dissertation, and was edited at NIAS. I also designed a global survey on photography recognition, and ran a test survey in which hundreds of Dutch university students took part. Throughout my stay at NIAS, I benefited from the atmosphere, the opportunity for long-term concentration, the library and other support services, and the interaction, ideas and input of the others fellows.
