Paul van der Heijden, born in Utrecht, the Netherlands, in 1949. Ph.D. from Leiden University. Professor of Labour Law at the University of Amsterdam and director of the Hugo Sinzheimer Institute for labour and law, Amsterdam.

My purpose of the NIAS-fellowship was to give full start of writing a complete work about European and Dutch labour law. The data to be collected and processed for the book are available (literature and court decisions).
