At NIAS I have been a member of the linguistic research group “The acquisition of heads”. My research aimed at the acquisition of verbal categories in early Dutch. I have analyzed new Dutch child utterances against the background of a theory that claims that children start with a grammatical system that deviates from the adult’s.
