Hans Blom, born in Leiden, the Netherlands, in 1943. Ph.D. from Leiden University. Professor of Dutch History after the Middle Ages at the University of Amsterdam.

During my NIAS year 1993/94 I spent much of my time and energy writing a 60 page chapter about the Jews in the Netherlands during the period 1870-1940 for a general “History of the Jews in The Netherlands” to be published in 1995.
